Cantonese Cuisine

Cantonese Cuisine is characterized by their combination of fresh ingredients prepared in a way that is light yet flavourful- tender and slightly sweet.

Sauces are a crucial seasoning and include : hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, plum sauce and sweet and sour sauce. Popular ingredients are spring onions, sugar, salt, soya bean ingredients, vinegar and sesame oil,  Garlic , Ginger, chili peppers, white pepper, star anise together with other spices that make Cantonese cuisine special and tasty.

The aim of Cantonese food cooking is to preserve the flavor of the dishes by braising, stew and sauté the food. However the Cantonese cuisine is light and less spicy than other parts of china.

Different kind of Seafood, Fresh Steamed fresh fish with fresh ingredients, Stir-frying food, BBQ meats, Dim Sum, Banquet style of food, BBQ pork, Roasted duck etc. All of them require a versatile Wine to pair perfectly with. German wines  like Riesling, Pinot Noir, Lemberger, Sparkling wine etc are elegant and versatile and are great choice to accompany the tasty Cantonese food.
