Food Pairing

An Asian meal usually contains array of dishes from appetisers, vegetable, soup to seafood and meat dishes and accompany by many small side dishes. Each dish is prepared with different sauce and spice and each bit brings different combination of flavour.

For this kind of huge food varieties and taste within one meal, versatile wines are needed to emphasis all taste of the food.

German Wines are versatile due to their firm acidity, elegance and refreshing characters.

German wine has its own unique character, specialities such as Riesling, Pinot Meunier (Schwarzriesling), Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder), Gewürztraminer, Lemberger etc. match well with Asian food because of their ability to pair with wide range of ingredients and intense Asian spices.

One need to be mindful and realistic when pairing wine with Asian meal as one single wine will not be compatible with all the dishes on the table. A perfect food and wine pairing is when both food and wine complement to each other and preserve the integrity of flavours. It makes us smile as we enjoy the conversation as much as the food and wine accompany.
